Position Overview:
The Community Hospital Corporation is in search of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to execute the strategic vision and oversee the operations of the healthcare facility.


Key Responsibilities:
The CEO will provide leadership and direction for the hospital, ensuring effective management of operations, quality enhancement, and financial performance across all departments, including Acute Care, Long Term Care, and specialized units.


The CEO is responsible for:

  • Managing a balanced annual operating budget and a comprehensive capital expenditure plan.
  • Recruiting and retaining skilled staff while fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Promoting patient-centered care and community engagement.


Strategic Leadership:
The CEO will establish a clear vision and communicate the hospital's mission to all stakeholders. This role involves:

  • Collaborating with the Board and senior management to identify growth opportunities.
  • Building strong relationships with medical staff and community leaders.
  • Encouraging a collaborative environment among hospital staff.


Quality and Safety:
The CEO will lead initiatives to maintain a culture of safety and quality, including:

  • Identifying and addressing safety and quality concerns.
  • Working with medical staff to ensure high standards of care.


Financial Oversight:
The CEO will oversee the development and management of budgets, ensuring:

  • Financial metrics are met and sound accounting practices are followed.
  • Effective risk management and financial controls are in place.


Human Resources Management:
The CEO will ensure the hospital has a competent workforce by:

  • Implementing performance management systems.
  • Providing opportunities for staff development and recognition.


Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree, with a preference for a graduate degree in healthcare administration or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proven ability to foster relationships with physicians and community stakeholders.
