Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management and Coordination: Oversee all construction operations to ensure adherence to design specifications, safety regulations, and project timelines. This includes meticulous monitoring of site activities, collaboration with contractors, and troubleshooting any technical challenges that may arise throughout the project duration. Manage all aspects of construction management activities, including scheduling, claims oversight, project coordination, risk assessment, and quality assurance on large-scale construction projects.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct frequent inspections or supervise inspection teams, evaluate construction plans, and execute quality control assessments to guarantee that materials and workmanship align with established standards and specifications. Document and rectify any identified deficiencies.
  • Communication with Stakeholders: Serve as the main liaison between the project management team, contractors, and clients, providing consistent updates on project status, addressing concerns, and facilitating effective communication to ensure seamless project execution and successful outcomes. Engage with both internal and external team members and authorities involved in the planning, design, and implementation of construction activities.
  • Team Development: Assemble the project team, including subcontractors, and oversee their responsibilities and activities.
  • Contract Compliance: Ensure that all construction work is completed in accordance with contractual documents and quality standards.
  • Resource and Budget Management: Effectively manage resources and budget to enhance the overall profitability of the organization.
  • Process Improvement: Establish and implement processes and procedures aimed at reducing costs, minimizing risks, and ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical support and training to junior staff members.
  • Mentorship: Mentor team members and contribute to the organization's knowledge management initiatives.
  • Network Development: Assist in the creation of a construction management network.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with local Client Services Leaders to provide support during pre-sales meetings and pursuit efforts.
  • Recruitment Participation: Engage in the recruitment process by interviewing candidates for construction management roles and offering mentorship as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as required.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred.
  • Experience in a lead Construction Manager or Resident Engineer role on projects exceeding $100 million.
  • Travel requirement: 30%.

Compensation: Salary range: $150,000 - $220,000.
