Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage actively in safety training to adopt the Atkinson safety culture.
  • Participate in regular meetings and site inspections as part of the TRACK process.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with craft personnel, field inspectors, subcontractor representatives, vendors, and the project management team.
  • Anticipate the needs of the crew to ensure efficient operations.
  • Prioritize daily tasks by understanding project deadlines and material procurement timelines.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to agencies, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Investigate challenges, ask insightful questions, gather feedback, and propose solutions.
  • Manage project budgets to ensure costs remain within estimates.
  • Pursue personal development opportunities beyond assigned duties.
  • Deliver safe and efficient engineering solutions.
  • Monitor and update project quantities to maintain accurate budgets and forecasts.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of invoices and ensure timely payments to subcontractors and vendors.
  • Compile and prepare documentation for change orders and requisitions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial or heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Experience with CALTRANS projects is preferred.
  • Demonstrated initiative, independence, and integrity.
  • Ability to communicate openly, listen actively, and learn from others.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Robust work ethic and capability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

Atkinson Construction offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes a competitive base salary, bonus opportunities, and a wide range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and various employee support programs. The base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $150,000, influenced by factors such as location, education, skills, and experience.
