Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough analyses of reports, maps, and hydrological data to inform project planning and design.
  • Developing innovative solutions for complex drainage challenges.
  • Estimating project costs and assessing feasibility based on comprehensive data analysis.
  • Preparing and modifying detailed reports, specifications, and project plans.
  • Monitoring construction sites to ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
  • Overseeing construction and maintenance operations at project locations.
  • Utilizing advanced engineering software to create design documents.
  • Assisting in project management and contributing to business development efforts.
  • Performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for transportation improvement initiatives.
  • Creating detailed engineering calculations and specifications for drainage systems.
  • Collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality results within established timelines and budgets.
  • Mentoring junior staff and providing guidance on engineering tasks.
  • Conducting engineering assessments and data collection for project planning.
  • Executing routine calculations and evaluating alternative solutions for project challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a professional engineering license or the ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Five to ten years of progressive experience in drainage design.
  • Experience with hydraulic design for transportation projects is preferred.
  • Knowledge of soil erosion and sediment control practices.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as MicroStation, GEOPAK Drainage, and HEC-RAS is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering standards and regulations.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to meeting project deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting and client relations.
