Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive support in student services, which encompasses admissions, academic advisement, financial aid assistance, and clerical tasks. The role involves delivering customer service by processing records requests and maintaining procedural and program information for students and the educational community. This position interacts with a diverse group of administrators, faculty, staff, students, and the public, primarily at the front counter of the One-Stop Center.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Student Assistance**: Offer information and guidance to students regarding admissions processes, perform clerical tasks related to student records requests such as transcripts, registration, and enrollment. Ensure accuracy in documentation and verify eligibility based on established criteria.
2. **Advisement Support**: Provide academic and career advisement for new, continuing, and prospective students, including information on program requirements and university transfer options. Update student records as necessary.
3. **Fiscal Transactions**: Conduct routine financial transactions, maintain records, and perform data entry for assigned areas. Monitor accounts payable and receivable, process journal entries, and manage fiscal documentation.
4. **Financial Aid Support**: Review student applications for accuracy, assist with financial aid applications, and counsel students and parents on financial aid processes. Conduct presentations on financial aid resources and policies.
5. **Project Participation**: Engage in special projects and presentations related to academic advisement, admissions, and registration. Attend departmental meetings and training sessions, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate's Degree from an accredited institution, and one (1) year of full-time experience in student services or related fields, or

High School Diploma/GED with three (3) years of equivalent experience in student services or related areas.

Desired Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree
2. Recent experience in Higher Education in a student service role.
3. Knowledge of Federal and State aid regulations and compliance.
4. Experience in customer service.
5. Familiarity with various software systems related to student services.
6. Experience handling confidential records.

Special Working Conditions

May require travel to various locations, evening or weekend work, and prolonged periods of computer use. A valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License is required.
