Engagement and Outreach Student Coordinator

This role provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in both independent and collaborative work environments. Students will enhance their skills in communication, data management, and donor relations while working in a professional office atmosphere. The position involves extended periods of computer use.

Approximately 20 hours of work per week is expected, with additional hours available during breaks from academic sessions, scheduled between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and report on data
  • Communicate with donors through various channels including email, mail, phone, and events
  • Assist in preparing donor mailings and impact reports
  • Support projects using Canva and video editing
  • Contribute to surveys and donor engagement platforms
  • Participate in special initiatives such as gratitude weeks and impact reports
  • Organize and maintain inventory of supplies
  • Perform administrative tasks including calendar management and email correspondence
  • Assist in event planning and logistics
  • Support donor relations activities utilizing various technologies
  • Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Interest in data management and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience or interest in donor communication and stewardship
  • Familiarity with Canva and video editing is advantageous
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Effective communication skills in various formats
  • Capability to operate a golf cart for campus-related tasks (training provided)
  • Commitment to confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in task completion
  • Willingness to learn new software and tools as necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment at Arizona State University in a relevant academic program
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an office or customer service role
