Engagement and Outreach Student Coordinator

This role provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience in both independent and collaborative work environments. Students will enhance their skills in communication, data management, and donor relations while working in a professional office atmosphere. The position involves extended periods of computer use.

Students are expected to commit around 20 hours weekly, with additional flexibility during breaks from academic sessions, operating within standard business hours from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and report on data
  • Facilitate donor communications through various channels including email, mail, phone, and events
  • Support donor mailings and impact reporting
  • Assist in creating visual content using Canva and video tools
  • Help with surveys and donor engagement platforms
  • Contribute to special initiatives such as gratitude weeks and impact reports
  • Oversee inventory management
  • Perform administrative tasks including calendar management and email correspondence
  • Assist in organizing meetings and events, including setup and cleanup
  • Support donor relations activities through technology platforms
  • Complete other assigned tasks as needed
Required Skills:
  • Interest in data management and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience or interest in donor communication and stewardship
  • Familiarity with Canva and video editing is advantageous
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects
  • Collaborative mindset with a preference for teamwork
  • Effective communication skills across various formats
  • Capability to operate a golf cart for event support, with training provided
  • Commitment to confidentiality regarding sensitive information
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in task completion
  • Quick adaptability to new software and office tools
Qualifications:
  • Current enrollment at Arizona State University in a relevant academic program
  • Minimum of one year experience in an office or customer service setting
