Clinical Revenue Management Analyst

Under the supervision of the Revenue Cycle Manager in Radiation Oncology, the Clinical Revenue Management Analyst delivers sophisticated analytical support to ensure precise capture of all clinical billing information, comprehensive reporting, and optimal reimbursement for clinical revenue streams. The Analyst meticulously audits and documents all treatment charges related to Radiation Oncology, proactively liaising with billing agents and clinical personnel to address and resolve billing and reimbursement challenges.
The Analyst further examines payer-specific and modality-specific revenue productivity reports to identify potential revenue underpayment issues and proposes actionable recommendations for enhancing revenue within the Radiation Oncology department. This role involves leading the review of modifications to CPT codes that influence the revenue cycle and collaborating with the revenue cycle team to adjust charge description master (CDM) profiles accordingly. The Analyst is tasked with monitoring ongoing changes in CMS and insurance plan requirements regarding authorizations, including bundling and medical necessity stipulations. By interpreting these regulatory updates, the Analyst provides continuous education and training to both clinical and administrative teams.
Moreover, the Analyst oversees Self Pay Patient Accounts by coordinating with the International Patient Concierge Program, Admissions, and Registration to ensure accurate treatment pricing and receipt of self-pay payments. This role encompasses various revenue cycle functions across the healthcare enterprise, including system billing, reporting, and support. The Analyst ensures that account information is accurate and comprehensive, facilitating timely billing and optimal reimbursement for services rendered. Key processes impacted include charge capture, coding, insurance identification, data entry, billing, payment posting, refund processing, and collections.
