About the Role

Amplify is seeking a seasoned Sales Executive to join our team and drive revenue growth in the K-12 education sector. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Amplify's education solutions and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct high-quality, consultative discussions with customers to understand their needs and align Amplify's products and services to address those needs.
  • Revenue Growth: Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets by identifying new business opportunities and driving sales growth.
  • Market Intelligence: Maintain a thorough understanding of the educational marketplace, including industry trends, funding developments, and competitor activity.
  • Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with key buying stakeholders in accounts, including Superintendents, Curriculum Directors, Department Heads, teachers, and other influential school district contacts.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline, forecasts, account plans, and territory management activities as required.
  • Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain a business pipeline of prospective clients and assume all territory management in the assigned territory.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Customer Success: Gain customer commitments and advance opportunities through the sales process.
  • Prospecting: Continually prospect for new business throughout the calendar year.
  • Customer Meetings: Conduct customer-facing meetings in schools and district offices.
  • Market Research: Research territory trends, competition, and funding sources to drive new sales strategically.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Travel: Able to travel and willing to commit to a heavy travel schedule within the territory and 3-4 team, regional, or national sales meetings (60-70% travel)
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and comprehension skills
  • Experience: 5+ years of successful direct sales experience OR experience in the education field
  • Teaching or Education Experience: Teaching or education tech/publishing experience
  • Residency: Reside within the assigned territory

  • Independence: Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Presentation Skills: Strong presentation skills
  • Regional Experience: Experience selling to schools and districts within the assigned region
