Administrative Intern

Position Overview:
Supports the management team, supervisors, and other personnel with various assignments as designated.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides organizational, clerical, and analytical assistance to the management team. Applies acquired knowledge to real-world business scenarios. Utilizes relevant software systems to complete designated tasks. Collaborates with team members on assigned projects. Conducts research for designated tasks and compiles data as needed. May generate reports, correspondence, and other documentation. Engages with relevant departments within the organization. May assist in the preparation and delivery of presentations. May support management in project coordination. Participation in meetings may be required. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
SUPERVISORY ROLE
No supervisory duties.
Qualifications:
INTERNSHIP CRITERIA:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution, a recent high school graduate accepted into a college or university, or a student pursuing vocational training.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
High school diploma or equivalent educational experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
No additional experience required.
TECHNOLOGICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in Internet applications; spreadsheet software; and word processing software is expected.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid driver's license with a driving history that meets the Cherokee Nation underwriting standards may be required by the department.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES
Ability to operate standard office equipment and software applications.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands for tasks and communicate effectively. The employee frequently stands, walks, sits, and reaches with hands and arms. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision requirements for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical components. Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, extreme temperatures, and electrical hazards may occur. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
