  • Base salary between $60,000 and $80,000 (based on prior sales experience) with the majority of the compensation being commission-based.
  • Total compensation (in a "typical market") ranges from north of $100,000 on the lowest end to several multiples of the low-end if successful in retaining and acquiring new business.
JOB SUMMARY

Land Title Guarantee Company is seeking a skilled Sales professional to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a self-driven, experienced sales or business development expert to be part of a high-achieving sales team that collaborates closely with a larger group of over 30 professionals recognized as leaders in their field.

We are in search of candidates with a proven history of nurturing and establishing valued, personal relationships with business-to-business (B2B) clients, ranging from principals and executives to top-producing brokers and attorneys, as well as staff involved in transactional details. A successful candidate will possess a natural desire and motivation to identify, pursue, and secure new business for our Company through networking, client education, community involvement, and maintaining a professional reputation grounded in service, integrity, and effectiveness.

This position specifically targets companies and individuals engaged in commercial real estate transactions, including investors, builders/developers, attorneys, lenders, brokers, governmental entities, and non-profit organizations. Our Company takes pride in collaborating with the top commercial real estate professionals in our State, and candidates must be prepared and committed to a customer-first, service-oriented approach in often demanding and high-pressure situations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Identifies and actively seeks new business opportunities.
  • Coordinates Company resources necessary to drive a sale to completion, including the retention of future business.
  • Identifies potential referral sources and cultivates relationships through personal contact and presentations of the Company's resources.
  • Facilitates the transition of qualified prospects or existing clients to members of the Company's title and closing teams, supporting all teams in establishing initial business transactions.
  • Utilizes internal and external information sources to gather relevant data to effectively position business to prospects.
  • Develops and collaborates on sales strategies to increase target market sales and manages the execution of these strategies.
  • Generates additional revenue opportunities by introducing and leveraging other business products and services as appropriate.
  • Incorporates and regularly practices techniques introduced through sales training to continuously enhance skills and performance.
  • Maintains and shares up-to-date prospective client information with key business segments within the Company.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and adheres to internal policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven knowledge of and/or experience in enterprise sales or business development in B2B industries, with specific experience in commercial real estate markets preferred.
  • Experience in selling and marketing services with the ability to utilize B2B methods and establish trusted, one-on-one relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with and accommodate multiple decision-makers on complex transactions.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving aggressive sales objectives.
  • Strong business development and negotiation skills with the ability to effectively originate new business, develop referral sources, and convert initial prospects to long-term clients.
  • Ability to self-initiate and independently pursue new opportunities.
  • Effective leadership qualities to guide a team of internal colleagues through the new business development cycle, ensuring process integrity and timely responses to prospects and clients.
  • Ability to assess the financial attractiveness of new leads to ensure profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to function effectively both independently and as a team-oriented leader in a high-visibility client environment.
  • Must be able to work independently while also leading in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company standards, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to engage with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Proven time management skills to handle multiple priorities and deliver timely and accurate work.
  • Must demonstrate strong active listening and follow-up skills.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to navigate through multiple systems without assistance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in enterprise sales and/or business development required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in commercial real estate markets or related industries preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Solid working knowledge of E-mail, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, and Google Docs.
  • Certified Title License (can be acquired after start date but before active client engagement).
