Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking an Executive Secretary Senior to provide administrative and secretarial support to the Office of Pesticide Services in the Division of Consumer Protection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Program Manager and Management Team
  • Manage fiscal and purchasing functions, including reviewing and finalizing forms, letters, and reports
  • Maintain all files, records, and reference material
  • Ensure purchase orders and invoices are managed and forwarded for payment
  • Prepare and process travel authorizations and reimbursements for the Management Team
  • Communicate program services and regulatory requirements to Virginia's pesticide industries and the general public

Requirements

  • Considerable knowledge of office practices, procedures, and office equipment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, including experience using complex database systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to interpret and follow oral and written policies and regulations
  • Ability to maintain harmonious working and public relations
  • Ability to independently plan, prioritize, organize, and execute assigned duties in a fast-paced, high-volume office environment

A combination of related education, training, and experience indicating possession of the preceding knowledge, skills, and abilities is required.
