Job Summary

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team as a Secretary Senior. This role provides critical clerical and administrative support to our Lieutenants and the BCI Richmond Field Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and confidential records and documents
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to routine inquiries
  • Ensure all correspondence is correctly formatted and proofread prior to submission
  • Review and maintain time attendance records and benefits information
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Complete and process required reports and maintain proficiency in automated systems
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Working knowledge of general office and clerical practices and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and typing/keyboarding skills
  • Ability to manage and organize general office operations and make independent decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional Considerations

A background investigation will be required of each selected applicant. The selection process will include screening of applications, interviewing of qualified candidates, and a medical evaluation if applicable.
