As a Principal Project Manager, Operations, you will lead strategic projects across our Dedicated Transportation business, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions, drive performance, and monitor the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and focus, managing multiple projects with identifiable critical paths, task dependencies, risk/issue mitigation processes, and major milestones.
  • Work with business leaders to identify and scope areas of opportunity to create and implement process improvements.
  • Support the sales process, specifically the key business development stakeholders on prospect presentations, data gathering, and solution design.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for RXO implementation processes in compliance with quality standards.
  • Apply project management expertise and individual technical and professional knowledge to ensure the quality of the products and project deliverables are of the highest quality, meet the agreed-upon timeline, and the contractual scope.
  • Drive customer onboarding and implementation for new business and navigate internal operations.

Requirements for Success:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience.
  • 5 years of experience as Project/Program Manager in transportation and logistics or equivalent operational experience.
  • Experience in transportation and logistics, including Carrier Procurement, Load Planning & Execution, Freight Audit and Payment, Transportation Analysis, or Warehousing.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience working with or implementing Transportation Management software.
  • Availability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional experience in logistics, transportation, or warehousing.
  • Additional experience or skills in an analytical field.
  • Microsoft Project experience or Project Planning Software.
  • Experience with Agile Methodologies.
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification and/or PMP.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • The self-motivation to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment.
