Position Overview

The Healthcare Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for welcoming patients, managing their records, and coordinating appointments. This position demands a strong dedication to providing outstanding service and ensuring that all patient healthcare requirements are addressed effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls in accordance with established company protocols while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Welcome and assist patients during their visit.
  • Engage with patients and colleagues in a polite and respectful manner, in line with company standards.
  • Confirm patients' insurance eligibility.
  • Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary tests are completed.
  • Organize and schedule appointments as needed.
  • Accurately collect and document patient payments.
  • Keep a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations and update patient records as required.
  • Support various administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a receptionist or clerical role within a healthcare environment is advantageous.

Essential Skills:

  • Competent in basic computer applications.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
