Position Overview

Defy Medical is seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our expanding team. The Patient Services Team is crucial in executing the patient care strategy.

With qualities such as patience, integrity, education, and empathy, a Patient Services Representative will assist our patients in improving their health and overall quality of life.


Key Responsibilities

- Engage with clients, medical assistants, and nursing staff within the organization.
- Uphold client and employee confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Clarify treatment procedures to patients and provide follow-up education.
- Manage a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments or directing calls appropriately.
- Handle a high volume of incoming calls.
- Review voicemails and return customer inquiries.
- Maintain daily email communication with patients, vendors, and colleagues.
- Organize and ensure cleanliness of workspaces, supplies, and equipment.

- Deliver exceptional customer service and apply problem-solving skills to address client concerns, ensuring follow-up for satisfaction.
- Duties and responsibilities may evolve at any time with or without notice.
- Must be able to train in the Tampa Office.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 1 year experience in healthcare preferred.
- High School Diploma required (Associate's degree in healthcare preferred).
- Strong active listening and problem-solving skills to provide outstanding customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including phone and email etiquette.
- Ability to quickly learn and utilize various computer programs.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Work Schedule

- Monday to Friday, 12:15 PM - 9:00 PM
