Position Overview:

This role will assist the Head of Corporate and Investment Banking and will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and essential organizational processes that enhance operational efficiency for the Corporate and Investment Bank ("CIB") within Texas Capital Bank.

The Vice President, Commercial Banking Business Enablement Lead plays a crucial role in the reorganization and improvement of the CIB division. This position is vital for identifying operational challenges and executing innovative solutions to enhance profitability. The role will collaborate with senior stakeholders across various markets and functions, gathering insights and feedback to streamline operations and elevate overall business performance. This position requires a strategic mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities, capable of converting complex challenges into actionable strategies that support the growth and success of the business.

By gaining an understanding of the daily operations within Texas Capital Bank's Commercial Banking sector, the Business Enablement Lead will pinpoint best practices and areas for enhancement. Their primary focus will be to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of core CIB processes, ensuring the successful integration of effective practices throughout the organization. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, capable of prioritizing and delivering results in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with the leadership team to assess current processes/functions, develop strategies for improvement, and be accountable for driving changes.
  • Create and present senior executive presentations that effectively communicate complex information and strategic initiatives while managing multiple projects to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate management and meeting routines across the Commercial Bank; participate in meetings, track actions, and ensure follow-up to completion.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Enablement and Finance & Business Management teams to fulfill necessary business unit financial reporting and management deliverables.
  • Oversee the planning of annual objectives and manage routines to monitor progress throughout the year using company data sources.
  • Work closely with the Project Management Office to ensure timely execution of business unit-related projects/programs (as applicable).
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and prepare materials for:
    • Quarterly Business Reviews;
    • Operating Committee meetings;
    • Special Projects; and
    • Other significant stakeholder meetings
  • Facilitate employee communications and engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company-wide standards (business continuity, records retention, etc.).
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as necessary to meet business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in banking/financial services; experience in Investment Banking or Corporate Banking is preferred.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations with a capacity to swiftly resolve issues and meet expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills to effectively gain buy-in, build consensus, and resolve conflicts.
  • Proven experience in creating impactful senior executive presentations that distill complex information into concise messages.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
  • Clear and articulate communicator capable of interacting across various organizational levels with executive presence.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement, challenge the status quo, recommend actions, and drive results.
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage requests and workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive planning abilities with meticulous attention to detail, follow-up, and execution.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and critical thinking with the capacity to think strategically and execute tactically.
