Role Summary:

The Vice President of Transplant Operations will operate at an executive level, tasked with formulating and executing strategic objectives, managing resources effectively, and overseeing daily operations within designated departments.

This position holds direct authority over various service lines, including Surgery Services, Heart & Vascular, Transplant, and more, ensuring optimal scheduling and support services.

The VP will be instrumental in boosting organizational performance and revenue, developing annual budgets, and maintaining high productivity standards while ensuring adequate staffing to meet departmental demands.

Key responsibilities include establishing and upholding clinical and surgical care standards in a cost-effective manner, aligned with the overarching values and goals of the organization.

The role also encompasses accountability for achieving quality and financial performance metrics within the areas of responsibility.

Additionally, the VP will ensure customer satisfaction through patient experience metrics and compliance with regulatory standards.

Building and nurturing collaborative relationships with physicians is essential, recognizing their vital role as partners and stakeholders.


Essential Qualifications:

Education:
Master’s Degree required.

Experience:
A minimum of ten (10) years of leadership experience in a relevant field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong clinical and business acumen; adept management skills suitable for a complex healthcare environment; comprehensive understanding of patient care across various domains.


Key Responsibilities:


Engage in collaborative decision-making with leaders from various sectors, including governance, management, and clinical areas, to shape strategic plans, budgets, and operational policies.

Define strategic direction for the aforementioned service lines, focusing on planning and managing processes to address current and future needs.

Mentor and develop management and staff to foster leadership capabilities.

Initiate and oversee quality monitoring and enhancement initiatives, actively contributing to clinical outcomes and quality improvements.

Advocate for clinical and surgical staff regarding resource allocation, including personnel, systems, and equipment.

Establish and implement patient care standards that comply with national, state, and local regulations.

Direct innovative strategies to reduce costs while maintaining or improving quality.

Lead contract negotiations and administration for external services.

Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures across all departments.
