Position Overview:

This role will assist the Head of Corporate and Investment Banking and will be responsible for driving the strategic direction and key organizational processes that enhance operational efficiency for the Corporate and Investment Bank ("CIB") within Texas Capital.

The Vice President, Business Enablement Lead for Commercial Banking at Texas Capital plays a crucial role in the restructuring and enhancement of the CIB division. This position is vital for identifying operational inefficiencies and implementing innovative solutions to boost profitability. The role will engage with senior stakeholders across various markets and functions, gathering insights and feedback to streamline processes and elevate overall business performance. This position requires a strategic thinker with outstanding problem-solving abilities, capable of transforming complex challenges into actionable strategies that support the business's growth and success.

By comprehending the daily operations of Texas Capital's Commercial Banking sector, the Business Enablement Lead will identify best practices and areas for enhancement. Their primary duty is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of core CIB routines, ensuring the seamless integration of successful practices throughout the organization. This role demands a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a strong capacity to communicate, prioritize, and drive results in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with the leadership team to assess current processes/functions, develop strategies for improvement, and be accountable for driving changes.
  • Create and deliver presentations for senior executives that effectively communicate complex information and strategic plans while managing multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate management and meeting routines across the Commercial Bank; attend meetings, track actions, and ensure follow-up to completion.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Enablement and Finance & Business Management teams to fulfill necessary business unit financial reporting and management deliverables.
  • Oversee the planning of annual objectives and manage routines to monitor progress throughout the year using company data sources.
  • Work closely with the Project Management Office to ensure timely execution of business unit-related projects/programs (as applicable).
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and prepare materials for:
    • Quarterly Business Reviews;
    • Operating Committee meetings;
    • Special Projects; and
    • Other key stakeholder meetings
  • Facilitate employee communications and engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company-wide standards (business continuity, records retention, etc.).
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as required to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in banking/financial services; experience in Investment Banking or Corporate Banking is preferred.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations with a knack for quickly resolving issues and meeting expectations.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills to navigate the complexities of gaining buy-in, building consensus, and resolving conflicts.
  • Proven experience in creating effective senior executive presentations that distill complex information into key, concise messages.
  • Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint are essential.
  • Clear and articulate communicator capable of interacting across all levels of the organization with executive presence.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement, challenge the status quo, recommend solutions, and drive actions.
  • Capacity to prioritize requests and workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive planning skills with meticulous attention to detail, follow-up, and execution.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and critical thinking with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
