Thermo Fisher Scientific operates in a dynamic and stimulating atmosphere that prioritizes performance, quality, and innovation.
As an Inside Sales Account Manager, your main responsibility will be to engage directly with clients, fostering and nurturing relationships that will ultimately drive sales.
Your sales portfolio will encompass: Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Cell Analysis (including Microscopy and Cytometry), and Protein Biology under the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystems brands (Life Technologies SAS entity). This includes both reagents and instruments.
This is a permanent position based in our Villebon office.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities with both new and existing clients, successfully marketing the company's products and services to meet or exceed the designated sales objectives for your territory.
- Enhance and maintain the current customer database utilizing the Company’s customer relationship management software (Sales Force CRM) and coordinate sales processes for assigned accounts within your territory.
- Manage and close sales leads generated by colleagues in Marketing and Technical Support.
- Regularly communicate (both orally and in writing) about successes, challenges, and best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the team, region, and sales organization.
- Engage with research scientists across all accounts to identify their needs and challenges, share product information, and develop compelling sales presentations.
- Participate in sales training, product and systems training, marketing initiatives, and special projects as directed by the Company to refine your selling skills.
- Maintain regular contact with your clients through remote communication methods (Teams, email, phone) for 80% of your time, and face-to-face interactions (booths, meetings, demonstrations) for 20% of your time.
- Prepare quotations in accordance with Company Guidelines to generate revenue.
- Provide sales forecasts for your assigned territory to support business insights.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Master's or PhD in Life Sciences is mandatory.
- Sales-oriented demeanor: highly motivated by targets.
- Excellent communication skills: capable of engaging and influencing at all levels.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar applications.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a high-performance team environment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business landscape.
- Previous experience in sales or any customer-facing role within the Life Sciences industry is advantageous but not essential.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating reliability in communication and actions.
