As an Inside Sales Account Manager, your main responsibility will be to engage directly with clients, fostering and nurturing relationships that will ultimately drive sales growth.
Your sales portfolio will encompass: Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Cellular Analysis (including Microscopy and Cytometry), and Protein Biology for the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystems brands (part of Life Technologies SAS). This includes both reagents and instruments.
This is a permanent position based in our Villebon office.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities with both new and existing clients, successfully promoting the company's products and services to meet or exceed the assigned sales targets.
- Enhance and maintain the current customer database using the company's customer relationship management software (Sales Force CRM) and coordinate sales activities for your designated accounts.
- Manage and convert sales leads generated by the Marketing and Technical Support teams.
- Regularly communicate (both verbally and in writing) about successes, challenges, and best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the team and sales organization.
- Engage with research scientists across all accounts to understand their needs, share product information, and create compelling sales presentations.
- Participate in training sessions related to sales, products, and systems, as well as marketing initiatives and special projects to develop effective selling skills.
- Maintain close contact with customers primarily through remote communication (Teams, email, phone) for 80% of your time, with face-to-face interactions (such as booths, meetings, and demonstrations) for the remaining 20%.
- Prepare quotations in accordance with company guidelines to drive revenue.
- Provide sales forecasts for your territory to support business insights.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Master's or PhD in Life Sciences is required.
- Sales-oriented mindset with a strong motivation to achieve targets.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar applications.
- Fluency in both French and English is essential.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to thrive in a high-performance team environment.
- Exhibits flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing business landscape.
- Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles within the Life Sciences sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and demonstrating reliability in communication and actions.
