Position Overview
At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we operate in a dynamic and engaging atmosphere that prioritizes excellence, innovation, and performance. As an Inside Sales Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to establish and nurture relationships with clients, ultimately driving sales growth.
Your sales portfolio will encompass a range of products including Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Cellular Analysis (Microscopy, Cytometry), and Protein Biology under the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystems brands. This includes both reagents and instruments.
This is a permanent position based in our Villebon office.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities with both new and existing clients to meet or exceed the sales targets for your designated territory.
- Enhance and maintain the customer database using the company's CRM software, ensuring efficient management of sales processes for your accounts.
- Manage and convert sales leads generated by the Marketing and Technical Support teams.
- Regularly report on sales activities, successes, and challenges to improve overall team performance and operational efficiency.
- Engage with research scientists to understand their needs, share product insights, and develop compelling sales presentations.
- Participate in training sessions, marketing initiatives, and special projects to enhance your sales capabilities.
- Maintain regular communication with customers via remote channels (Teams, email, phone) for 80% of your time, with 20% dedicated to face-to-face interactions (events, meetings, demonstrations).
- Prepare quotations in accordance with company guidelines to drive revenue.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts for your territory to support business planning.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master's or PhD in Life Sciences is required.
- Sales-oriented mindset with a strong motivation to achieve targets.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or similar tools.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Able to thrive in a high-performance team environment.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing business landscape.
- Previous experience in sales or customer-facing roles within the Life Sciences industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining reliable communication.
