As an Inside Sales Account Manager, your main responsibility will be to engage directly with clients, fostering and nurturing relationships that will lead to increased sales.

Your sales portfolio will encompass: Molecular Biology, Cell Culture, Cellular Analysis (including Microscopy and Cytometry), and Protein Biology under the Invitrogen and Applied Biosystems brands (Life Technologies SAS entity). This includes both reagents and instruments.

This is a permanent position based in our Villebon office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities with both new and existing clients, successfully promoting the company's products and services to meet or exceed the designated sales targets for your territory.
  • Enhance and maintain the current customer database utilizing the Company’s customer relationship management software (Sales Force CRM) and coordinate sales processes for your assigned accounts.
  • Manage and close sales leads generated by colleagues in the Marketing and Technical Support teams.
  • Communicate regularly (both verbally and in writing) about successes, challenges, and best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the team and sales organization.
  • Engage with research scientists across all accounts to understand their needs, share product information, and develop compelling sales presentations.
  • Participate in sales training, product knowledge sessions, marketing initiatives, and special projects as directed by the Company to refine your selling skills.
  • Maintain regular contact with your clients through remote communication (Teams, email, phone) for 80% of your time, and engage in face-to-face interactions (booths, meetings, demonstrations) for the remaining 20%.
  • Prepare quotations in accordance with Company Guidelines to drive revenue.
  • Provide sales forecasts for your territory to support business insights.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Master’s or PhD in Life Sciences is required.
  • Sales-oriented mindset with a strong motivation to achieve targets.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and complete necessary assignments.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or similar software.
  • Fluency in both French and English is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to thrive in a high-performance team environment.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business landscape.
  • Prior experience in sales or customer-facing roles within the Life Science industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and ensuring reliable communication and actions.
