Event Project Coordinator, Audio Visual Services

The Associate Project Manager is a key member of the Encore team, responsible for managing small events and portions of larger projects. This role involves monitoring progress, identifying and resolving operational problems, and ensuring successful execution of events.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in creating and deploying detailed work plans for events and projects.
- Review and recommend equipment and labor requirements for events.
- Analyze and manage project risk to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Supervise technical aspects of events and provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support.
- Assist with scheduling equipment deliveries and pickups.
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve audio-visual and IT equipment.
- Monitor events and check in on event sessions throughout the day.
- Monitor cost control measures and report challenges to the Project Management team.
- Assist with securing local internal resources to minimize external spend.
- Ensure compliance with Encore Policies and Procedures.
- Complete Encore post-event process, including post-show reporting and workforce hour entry.
- Assist in the training and development of technicians.
- Achieve Technical Level 3 Certification within 180 days.
- BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of knowledge of audio-visual or related technical skill set.
- 1+ years on-site crew experience.
- Venue audio-visual and strong technical background preferred.
- Strong Client relationship skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Works well under pressure.
- Ability to manage complex job functions within a fast-paced environment.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- MS Office experience required.
- Ability to travel up to 50% may be required.

Work is performed in a hotel/event venue environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple locations. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore based on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
