Key Responsibilities

Equipment Management

• Guarantees the successful delivery of events through precise setup, operation, and dismantling of sophisticated audiovisual equipment as specified in the technical requirements.

• Diagnoses and resolves technical challenges promptly as they occur.

• Adheres to all security and safety protocols established by the company.

• Safeguards equipment against theft and damage during usage.

Client Relations

• Delivers exceptional service and aims to surpass the expectations of both internal and external clients.

• Cultivates positive relationships with clients through effective communication.

• Collaborates with the internal team to devise event solutions before and during events to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.

• Understands and nurtures the relationship between the hotel and the client.

Training and Development

• Fosters an environment conducive to the growth of technical and leadership skills among team members.

• Provides guidance and coaching to technical, sales, and operations staff to enhance their technical competencies.

• Develops expertise in specialized areas of the field.

• Remains informed about technological advancements and industry trends.

Event Oversight

• Engages in advanced tasks related to event operations, both pre-event and during the event.

• Oversees and directs fellow technicians throughout the event.

Equipment Care

• Assists the team in ensuring proper security, storage, inventory management, transportation, and maintenance of equipment.

• Conducts inventory assessments and forecasts equipment requirements.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in event technology, particularly in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video, is essential.

• 4-5 years of experience in customer service or hospitality is advantageous.

• Internal candidates must fulfill all training prerequisites to qualify for this position.

• New team members must complete all training requirements within 60 days of their start date.

• Ability to engage professionally and effectively with a diverse workforce, clientele, and senior management.

• Strong interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

• A valid driver's license is necessary for team members in roles that may involve operating company vehicles. Additional DOT requirements may apply.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

The role is performed in a hotel or convention center environment, with exposure to varying outdoor temperatures and potential exposure to dirt and dust. Working conditions may range from moderately quiet to noisy. Team members will utilize high-end audiovisual equipment and electrical components and may work at heights using lifts and ladders. Flexibility in working hours is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, adhering to appearance standards as defined by the company.
