Position Overview: We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee construction projects in a dynamic environment. This role encompasses the management of all phases of construction, from the initial planning stages through to project completion, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take full accountability for the successful execution of all project components, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial forecasts and updates, ensuring the project adheres to safety and financial standards.
  • Oversee daily operations and project milestones, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation.
  • Assess project efficiency and implement cost-control measures while maintaining operational integrity.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to project teams, facilitating the successful completion of tasks.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to optimize project resources.
  • Delegate project responsibilities to supervisory staff, establishing clear priorities for project execution.
  • Coordinate procurement of necessary materials and services, maintaining effective inventory management.
  • Maintain effective communication with architects, engineers, and contractors involved in major projects.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation and record-keeping to support project management and oversight.
  • Develop and conduct training sessions for team members as needed.
  • Promote a robust safety culture within the project environment.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of project management experience in the construction sector, with extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and DDC controls.
  • Proficient in preparing proposals, managing schedules, and coordinating project teams to meet demanding timelines.
  • Strong familiarity with MS Office, construction estimating software, and management systems.
  • In-depth understanding of mechanical and electrical systems within facilities.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain client relationships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead teams and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Knowledge of contracting procedures and project management methodologies.
  • Ability to collaborate with clients to resolve complex issues amicably.
  • Basic understanding of office administration, budgeting, and operational controls.
  • Must possess authorized security access, including background checks as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and traversing elevated walkways.
