Equipment Management

• Guarantee a successful event through precise and timely setup, operation, and dismantling of sophisticated audio-visual equipment as specified in the technical requirements.

• Diagnose and resolve technical challenges swiftly as they occur.

• Adhere to all company security and safety protocols.

• Safeguard equipment against theft and damage during usage.

Client Engagement

• Deliver outstanding service and aim to surpass the expectations of both internal and external clients.

• Foster positive relationships with all clients through effective communication.

• Collaborate with the internal team on event solutions before and during the event to ensure optimal customer satisfaction.

• Cultivate and enhance the hotel/client relationship.

Training and Development

• Create an environment that encourages the growth of technical and leadership skills among team members.

• Offer mentorship and guidance to technical, sales, and operations staff to enhance their technical competencies.

• Establish oneself as a subject matter expert in the area of specialization.

Event Oversight

• Engage in advanced tasks (pre, during, and post-event) alongside operations team members.

• Supervise and guide other technicians throughout the event.

Equipment Care

• Assist the team with the secure handling, storage, inventory, transportation, and maintenance of equipment.

• Conduct inventory assessments and forecast equipment requirements.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in event technology, specializing in Audio, Lighting, Projection, or Video is required.

• 4-5 years of experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.

• Internal team members must fulfill all training prerequisites to qualify for this role.

• New team members must complete all training requirements within 60 days of hire.

• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with a diverse workforce, clientele, and senior management.

• Strong experience and skills in customer, client, and coworker interactions.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

• A valid driver's license is necessary for team members in roles that may involve operating company vehicles. Additional DOT requirements may apply if relevant.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a hotel or convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor elements and varying noise levels. Team members will utilize high-end audio-visual equipment and electrical components and may work at heights using lifts and ladders. The role may require working across multiple hotel locations and involves irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance standards as set by the company.

Physical Requirements

Team members must meet specific physical criteria to effectively perform essential job functions, categorized as follows:

Occasionally: Peripheral Vision, Carrying, Pushing/Pulling Over 100 lbs.

Frequently: Color Vision, Depth Perception, Lifting 16-50 lbs., Carrying 16-50 lbs., Pushing/Pulling 16-50 lbs.

Continuously: Close Vision, Distance Vision, Hearing, Lifting 0-15 lbs., Carrying 0-15 lbs., Pushing/Pulling 0-15 lbs.

Time allocation per day includes: 0-1 hours/day for Climbing; 2-3 hours/day for Sitting, Stooping, Crawling, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching (above head); and 4-5 hours/day for Standing, Walking, Grasping.
