Position Overview: Construction Project Manager

Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Construction Project Manager to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role encompasses managing project operations, budget oversight, and supervising personnel involved in new construction, renovations, and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the successful execution of all project components in alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial forecasts and updates, ensuring adherence to safety and financial targets.
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure timely progress on scheduled milestones.
  • Evaluate project efficiency and manage operational costs while adhering to best practices.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to project staff.
  • Negotiate contracts and procure materials and services essential for project completion.
  • Delegate significant project tasks to supervisory staff and establish execution priorities.
  • Coordinate the procurement of supplies and maintain inventory in collaboration with warehouse personnel.
  • Engage with architects, engineers, and contractors involved in major projects.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and controls to support effective management and productivity.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff as needed.
  • Promote and uphold a robust safety culture within the team.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years of project management experience in construction, with a focus on HVAC and DDC systems.
  • Proficient in preparing proposals, coordinating project schedules, and managing contractor relationships.
  • Strong familiarity with Windows, MS Office, RS Means estimating software, and MAXIMO.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within facilities.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capability to lead teams, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Understanding of contracting procedures and project management methodologies.
  • Ability to devise amicable solutions to complex issues in collaboration with clients.
  • Experience working with diverse teams, including skilled and unskilled personnel.
  • Basic knowledge of office administration, budgeting, and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Possession of necessary security clearances as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing stairs and traversing elevated platforms.
