In the role of Business Operations Associate II, you will be responsible for executing operational tasks that ensure exceptional service delivery to Private Wealth Management clients. You will act as the subject matter expert across various operational functions. Collaboration with other teams within Private Wealth will be essential as you address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and support special initiatives. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement (Tues/Wed/Thur on-site).

Key Responsibilities:

Execute operational procedures accurately and promptly. Serve as the innovation representative, providing training, managing releases, capturing firm perspectives, and establishing standardization. Act as a liaison between front and middle offices and technology providers. Implement quality control measures, enhance user experience, and generate reports. Monitor, maintain, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Handle daily transactions within areas of operational responsibility. Collaborate with Senior Associates to resolve complex operational challenges and escalations. Ensure a positive service experience for internal clients that consistently exceeds expectations. Build and nurture internal relationships to foster continuous process improvement. Utilize Private Wealth technologies to facilitate transactions and fulfill responsibilities. Comprehend overall business needs and assist in identifying value-added services and experiences for clients and associates. Review job-related activities to ensure adequate controls are in place to prevent errors, fraud, and omissions. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, operational guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Financial Services. Ability to solve complex problems effectively. Strong attention to detail while maintaining a broad perspective. Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple tasks. Familiarity with operational best practices in financial services and a talent for creating memorable client experiences. Ability to balance client experience considerations with business risk management. Capacity to work independently while collaborating with others to achieve client goals. Analytical thinker with creative problem-solving skills. General knowledge of new account openings, investments, client onboarding, and cash management. Proficient in organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Exceptional written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Familiarity with UMB custody and clearing platforms such as SEI and Fidelity Wealthscape.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in client service within a wealth management context. Knowledge of Personal Trust, Custody, and Investment management services and account types. Understanding of complex account types. Experience handling a diverse range of client situations and inquiries. General knowledge of compliance regulations in wealth management. Proficiency with eMoney client portal and financial planning software. Familiarity with Workday, Peoplesoft, Archer, Skillport, and Hyperion. Proficient in Salesforce CRM software.

Compensation:

Minimum: $44, Maximum: $103,820.00

The posted compensation range reflects UMB's standard for this role, but actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
