Job Summary

The Operating Room Technician II PRN is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support during surgical procedures. As a skilled and dedicated professional, you will work closely with our surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient operating environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping
  • Maintain a sterile environment during procedures, ensuring the integrity of the surgical field
  • Anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgeon and other team members
  • Monitor and maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • At least 1 year of experience required
  • In addition to meeting the requirements of an OR Tech I position, must also be competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic, Total Joints, Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery
