In the role of Business Operations Associate II, you will be responsible for executing operational tasks that ensure exceptional service delivery to our Private Wealth Management clientele. You will serve as the expert in various operational functions and collaborate with other teams within Private Wealth to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and support unique projects. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement (in-office on select days).

Key Responsibilities:

Execute operational processes with precision and timeliness. Act as the innovation representative, providing training, managing releases, capturing firm perspectives, and promoting standardization. Serve as a communication bridge between front and middle offices and our technology partners. Implement additional changes focused on quality control, user experience, and reporting. Monitor, maintain, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Handle daily transactions for designated operational areas. Collaborate with Senior Associates to tackle complex operational challenges and escalations. Ensure a positive service experience for internal clients that consistently exceeds expectations. Cultivate and sustain internal relationships to foster ongoing process improvements. Utilize Private Wealth technologies to manage transactions and fulfill responsibilities. Comprehend overarching business needs and assist in identifying value-added services and experiences for clients and associates. Review job-related activities to ensure adequate controls are in place to mitigate errors, fraud, and omissions. Adhere to corporate policies, operational guidelines, and regulatory standards. Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and experience that provides a comparable background. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Financial Services. Strong problem-solving skills. Attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture. Highly organized with effective multitasking capabilities. Understanding of operational best practices in financial services and a talent for creating exceptional client experiences. Ability to balance client-focused service with risk management. Independent worker who collaborates effectively to achieve client goals. Analytical thinker with creative problem-solving abilities. General knowledge of new account setups, investments, client onboarding, and cash management. Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Familiarity with UMB custody and clearing platforms such as SEI and Fidelity Wealthscape.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven client service experience in a wealth management setting. Knowledge of Personal Trust, Custody, and Investment management services and account types. Understanding of complex account types. Experience handling a diverse range of client inquiries and situations. Familiarity with compliance regulations in wealth management. Proficiency with eMoney client portal and financial planning software. Experience with Workday, Peoplesoft, Archer, Skillport, and Hyperion. Proficient in Salesforce CRM software.

Compensation:

Minimum: $44, Maximum: $103,820.00

The compensation range provided reflects UMB's standard for this position, though actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
