Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual with excellent communication skills to join our dynamic sales team. This role focuses on Subsidiary Rights and International Sales, providing a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in both areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Subsidiary Rights:

  • Prepare and send foreign submissions, manage file transmissions, and oversee licensed edition approvals.
  • Coordinate audiobook licensing, production, and sales efforts.
  • Negotiate and finalize non-rights licenses.
  • Maintain and track rights deals in the IPM database.
  • Log and distribute licensed editions to relevant editors.
  • Assist in preparations for book fairs, including orders and rights guides.
  • Respond to inquiries received through the company’s rights email.

International Sales:

  • Collaborate with international and export sales teams, providing necessary materials and updates.
  • Generate regular reports for sales representatives.
  • Update internal databases to monitor sales activities.
  • Prepare presentations for sales conferences and client meetings.
  • Support international marketing and publicity efforts with required materials.
  • Assist the International Sales Director with various projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least one year of experience in publishing is highly preferred.
  • Interest in the international publishing landscape is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; comfortable with database management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy.
  • A positive demeanor, willingness to contribute, and a passion for literature.

Work Environment:
This position operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring in-office attendance three days a week.
