Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting our growth in the Semiconductor and Life Sciences Lab markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct intricate customer support tasks, including the installation, modification, repair, and preventive maintenance of Brooks' systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues, implementing corrective measures while adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • May serve as a Local / Shift / Site Lead, directing the work of other Service Engineers as necessary.
  • Engage with customers to ensure satisfaction with equipment and service, participating in operational meetings and presenting on behalf of Brooks.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment, complying with all company and customer protocols.
  • Achieve Equipment Service and Operation Certification as required, and submit necessary reports on support activities.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and support organizational duties as needed.
  • Provide training to both Brooks and customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Mentor junior Service Engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Document and evaluate new processes or enhancements to existing workflows.
  • Prepare reports, project plans, and training materials as required.
  • Work in compliance with Clean Room standards when necessary.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to meet customer needs, including potential night shifts and weekends.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in electro-mechanical or electronics technical support and repair.
  • Experience with lasers and positioning circuitry on robotic systems.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting microelectronics schematics and digital circuits.
  • Familiarity with PCs and various operating systems.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
