Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Product Engineer to join our team at TEL. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing new products through various stages of their development life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to bring distinct, specific system or sub-system integration level projects to completion on time, within budget, and performing to expectation.
  • Collaborate with technical marketing teams to ensure product requirements are established and aligned with company needs and expectations to meet system level performance targets.
  • Provide focus and guidance to cross-department teammates to establish project schedules that support overall new product program deliverables, from planning, concept, and design through tool build, test, ship, and support.
  • Establish work breakdown structures for engineering tasks and use information to drive design priority needs.
  • Evaluate and escalate risks (to schedule, performance, cost) and provide recommendations to upper management.
  • Coordinate customer specification and configuration information from multiple sources to ensure our products meet or exceed our customers' expectations.
  • Serve as a factory point of contact/escalation resolution coordinator for high-profile field issues.
  • Work with factory source material experts to establish specifications for customer-provided facility requirements needs to operate our capital equipment.
  • Develop, maintain, and drive improvements for customer cost of ownership models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of applicable experience, Master's degree with 4 years of applicable experience.
  • Specific experience with semiconductor equipment or similar fully automated capital equipment, including gas-cluster ion beam and/or ion implantation technology, single-wafer dry wafer particle removal, and/or chemical wafer cleaning.
  • Experience in the application of lean principles and formal problem-solving techniques.
  • Proficiency in project planning software.
  • Certified Project Management Professional.
  • Ability to occasionally travel, including internationally.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organization and management skills.
  • High level of formal problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical thinker.

Working Conditions

Job duties are performed in an office setting or in a clean room environment. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions. Occasional travel to TEL factory, training facilities, and customer locations may be required.
