Position Overview:
The Field Service Engineer for Aftermarket Solutions is instrumental in comprehending customer needs and technical specifications. This role is vital for the expansion of the Aftermarket Sales division.

The Field Service Engineer is tasked with assisting customers and the Aftermarket Sales team in managing complex or sizable sales orders.

Such orders will be clearly defined and discussed with the Field Operations Manager and the designated Sales Representative.

Additionally, the Field Service Engineer may be required to visit clients to resolve intricate system issues as requested by the Aftermarket Sales team.

This role also involves gathering information to aid Sales Application Engineers in crafting proposals.

Some systems may necessitate a detailed technical perspective to accurately quote solutions or may require multiple quoting methods for various applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs, promote company products, and provide sales assistance.
- Troubleshoot issues with installed equipment.
- Recommend enhancements to materials or machinery, documenting how these modifications can reduce costs or boost productivity.
- Offer both technical and non-technical support to clients and staff regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Provide technical sales support to the Aftermarket Sales team.
- Conduct technical reviews of job information assigned by the Aftermarket Sales team. Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to identify and troubleshoot solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Manage projects and coordinate job meetings with sales personnel and service technicians to ensure seamless completion.
- Work alongside the Aftermarket Sales team to conduct customer visits and participate in bid and walkthrough meetings as necessary.
- Respond promptly to various technical inquiries regarding products and system solutions to satisfy customer and sales team needs.
- Engage in meetings or direct communication with clients to assist in resolving issues or complaints.
- Prepare and distribute literature, technical data, and promotional materials as needed.
- Foster a collaborative environment to facilitate problem-solving and deliver excellent customer service.
- Advise and consult with upper management, clients, and industry representatives regarding business opportunities and potential challenges that may affect the company's operations.
- Assist in managing project orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
- Advanced education in a relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in application sales engineering or a similar technical role.

Specific Skills:
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple bids and projects simultaneously without supervision.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to meet deadlines while coordinating efforts and information from colleagues, vendors, and clients.
- Experience working with customers and vendors, along with a solid understanding of pumping systems.
- Knowledge of electric motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), control components, and instrumentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills with minimal oversight.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with proficiency in computer applications and teamwork building.
- Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
