Position Overview:
The Aftermarket Support Engineer plays a crucial role in understanding customer needs and technical specifications. This position is vital for the expansion of the Aftermarket Sales team. The engineer will be tasked with managing complex sales orders and providing essential support to both customers and the Aftermarket Sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with sales teams to identify customer needs and promote company products.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues with installed equipment.
  • Suggest enhancements to materials or machinery that can reduce costs or boost productivity.
  • Offer both technical and non-technical assistance to clients regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Support the Aftermarket Sales team with technical sales inquiries.
  • Conduct technical reviews of job specifications as directed by the sales team.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to troubleshoot and fulfill customer requirements.
  • Manage project meetings with sales personnel and service technicians to ensure seamless execution.
  • Coordinate with the sales team for customer visits and participate in bidding and walkthrough meetings.
  • Respond promptly to technical inquiries from customers and the sales team.
  • Engage in direct communication with customers to resolve issues or complaints.
  • Prepare and distribute technical literature and promotional materials as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative environment to enhance problem-solving and customer service.
  • Consult with management and industry representatives regarding business opportunities and challenges.
  • Assist in the management of sales orders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced education in a relevant field.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in application sales engineering or a similar technical role.

Specific Skills:

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines while coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in customer and vendor interactions.
  • Knowledge of pumping systems and related technologies.
  • Understanding of electric motors, variable frequency drives, and control components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze technical specifications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficient computer skills.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative.
