Job Summary and Qualifications
The Nursing Manager is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through effective oversight of daily operations and staffing within the unit/department. This role involves monitoring and evaluating nursing care delivery in alignment with established policies and holding staff accountable for clinical outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in the establishment of patient-specific care standards and adhering to service excellence protocols to enhance patient satisfaction.
- Implementing evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and clinical outcomes.
- Managing admissions and discharge processes to optimize patient flow and care quality.
- Facilitating interdisciplinary care coordination across departments.
- Providing leadership to foster a culture of accountability and transparency in care delivery.
- Reviewing feedback mechanisms to identify opportunities for enhancing patient satisfaction.
- Collaborating with experts and leaders to cultivate teamwork that drives improved outcomes.
- Identifying training needs and development opportunities for staff.
Qualifications Required:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment. Basic Cardiac Life Support and PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications are also required.
