Hotel Guest Service Agent Job Description

Comfort Inn & Suites East Greenbush is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Hotel Guest Service Agent. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Registration and Room Assignment: Register and assign rooms to guests, ensuring accurate and efficient processing.
  • Customer Service: Answer inquiries and provide information on hotel services, registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Accounting and Billing: Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests, while maintaining accurate records of room availability and guest accounts.
  • Communication: Answer, receive, and transfer incoming and outgoing calls, messages, and faxes, utilizing various communication tools.
  • Room and Service Verification: Ensure rooms and services are correctly accounted for within guest statements, and properly account for services provided by the hotel.
  • Cash Handling and Deposits: Verify customers' credit, establish payment methods, and account for all cash, making deposits in accordance with hotel and company policies.
  • Guest Feedback and Complaints: Record guest comments or complaints, referring guests to managers as necessary.
  • Computer Skills: Access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.
  • Attendance and Safety: Report to work on time, in uniform, and adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $15, with opportunities for advancement based on experience. This part-time position has the potential to become full-time, with a flexible schedule that includes both first and second shifts, as well as weekends.
