Job Overview

Join Volt in a pivotal role as a Facilities Maintenance Scheduler and Planner.

In this position, you will be responsible for orchestrating and recommending schedules for both routine and non-routine maintenance tasks associated with equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess work order requirements in collaboration with Process Engineering, Facilities Operations, and Production Supervisors to establish optimal timing, ensure personnel and equipment availability, and secure preliminary scheduling approvals.
  • Create daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules based on material availability, priority requests, production needs, and the availability of skilled labor.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Facilities Operations Inventory Specialist to confirm that all necessary parts are available or ordered for scheduled work orders.
  • Input, plan, update, and finalize shop work orders in SAMS or SAP to ensure precise accounting and record maintenance.
  • Complete necessary forms and reports related to planning, scheduling, and work order completion to provide relevant information for Facilities Operations and Production teams.
  • Work alongside managers and engineers to analyze actual versus planned work order reports, ensuring the effectiveness of the planning and scheduling process, while identifying any issues in completing tasks as intended.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from a Trade School.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong commitment to and understanding of safety protocols.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with personnel from production, maintenance, suppliers, and engineering.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as MS Office, CMMS, SAP, or other planning tools.
  • Exhibit a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Compensation: $37.00 per hour. Typical work hours are Monday - Friday, 7am to 4:30pm.
