About the Role:

Russell Tobin's client, a multinational manufacturing and automotive company, is seeking a skilled Facilities Operations Manager to join their team in a contract/onsite capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Process Engineering, Facilities Operations, and Production Supervisors to review work order requirements and determine scheduling considerations.
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance work schedules based on materials availability, priority of requests, production considerations, and craftsperson time availability.
  • Communicate with the Facilities Operations Inventory Specialist to ensure all necessary parts are available or ordered for scheduled work orders.
  • Enter, plan, update, and close shop work orders in SAMS or SAP for accurate accounting and record-keeping.
  • Complete forms and reports relating to planning, scheduling, and completion of work orders to provide relevant information for Facilities Operations and Production personnel.
  • Work with the Reliability Engineer to review actual versus planned work order reports to ensure the effectiveness of the planning and scheduling process and identify problem areas.
  • Perform other assignments as directed by supervision and leadership.

Requirements:

  • High School or Trade School Diploma
  • Planning/scheduling experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Possess a high regard and understanding of safety practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from production, maintenance, suppliers, and engineering
  • Strong organization and time management skills, accompanied by excellent communication skills
  • Escort contractors as needed
  • Possess good computer skills, including MS Office, CMMS, SAP, or other planning software
  • Display and execute a positive, can-do attitude
  • Demonstrated willingness to work overtime

Nice to Have:

  • Professional certifications, military background, or college degree
  • Facilities planning/scheduling experience
  • Knowledge and experience in machining and materials characterization
  • Experience in a manufacturing plant environment
