What are we seeking in our Facilities Operations Supervisor?

Russell Tobin & Associates is actively looking for a Facilities Operations Supervisor to join a leading Manufacturing and Automotive firm.

Employment Type: Contract/Onsite

Compensation: $29-$32/hr, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Process Engineering, Facilities Operations, and Production Supervisors to assess work order needs, ensuring timely execution and resource availability.
  • Create and manage a maintenance schedule that prioritizes requests based on material availability and production needs.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Facilities Operations Inventory Specialist to confirm the availability of necessary parts for scheduled tasks.
  • Utilize SAMS or SAP to enter, plan, update, and close work orders, ensuring accurate records and accounting.
  • Generate reports and documentation related to work order planning, scheduling, and completion to support Facilities Operations and Production teams.
  • Partner with the Reliability Engineer to analyze discrepancies between planned and actual work orders, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent from a Trade School.
  • Experience in planning and scheduling within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with production, maintenance, suppliers, and engineering teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, along with strong communication abilities.
  • Capability to oversee contractors as necessary.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office, CMMS, SAP, or similar planning software.
  • Exhibit a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications, military experience, or a college degree.
  • Experience in facilities planning and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of machining and materials characterization.
  • Background in a manufacturing plant setting.
