Position Title: Senior Action Officer

Position Summary:

The Senior Action Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting the Influence and Perception Management Office within the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)). This position is designed for an experienced professional with a strong background in operations management and policy development.

Location: On-site / In-Person; Arlington, VA

Employment Type: Full Time / Exempt

Travel Requirements: Some travel may be necessary.

Security Clearance: Active TS with immediate SCI eligibility upon award. Must be a US Citizen.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.

Certifications:

  • Project Management or Program Management Professional.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active TS security clearance with immediate SCI eligibility.
  • Demonstrated senior-level experience in operations management, administrative management, or project management within the last five years.

Preferred Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge of the Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and interagency organizations.
  • Proven experience in policy formulation, program oversight, and resource management.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Capacity to foster collaboration and lead diverse groups.
  • Experience in maintaining relationships with senior leaders across various government sectors.
  • Expertise in the Planning, Program, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) phases of the DoD budget.

Salary: Negotiable based on experience, education, and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Action Officer will be responsible for:

  • Assisting leadership in developing strategies and policies for DoD influence and perception management operations.
  • Conducting oversight and governance for related operations and ensuring compliance.
  • Coordinating time-sensitive staff packages to support operational requirements.
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships across the DoD and other relevant organizations.
  • Producing detailed reports and briefings for senior officials and Congress regarding influence and perception management activities.
