About the Role
OBXtek is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solutions Architect/Strategist to lead the development of IT solutions tailored to the needs of the Veteran's Administration (VA). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing and implementing innovative solutions aligned with the VA's Information Technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of IT solutions for the Veteran's Administration, focusing on program management, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand VA requirements and develop tailored solutions that address specific needs and challenges.
- Conduct thorough analysis of existing VA systems and infrastructure to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to senior management on solution architecture and implementation strategies.
- Act as a subject matter expert on VA Information Technology strategy, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices, including the VA's Digital Transformation roadmap.
- Mentor and coach junior architects and team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Active Public Trust Clearance
- Strong background in program management, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and software engineering.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering in a government or healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Relevant Certifications such as TOGAF, CISSP, ITILv4 are preferred.
- Knowledge of VA Information Technology strategy, priorities such as Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM), Cross-Agency Collaboration, Human-Centered Design, and specific project requirements is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in digital transformation, as outlined in the VA's Digital Transformation strategy
