Position Overview:

The role of the External Referral Coordinator involves managing and facilitating the processing of external referrals within a healthcare setting. This position is critical in ensuring smooth workflows and effective communication related to external referrals.

Office Location: Client Onsite

Travel Requirements: No travel is required for this position.

Work Environment:

  • Parking: Parking Structure available
  • Dress Code: Business Casual

Education Requirements:

  • Required: High School Diploma
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Referral Processing, Medical Billing, Coding, or Claims is preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Required: Familiarity with CPT codes
  • Preferred: Experience with EPIC HealthConnect (Tapestry) and Foundation systems

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Interview Process: Candidates may be interviewed onsite or virtually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing external referrals efficiently
  • Supporting workflows within the External Referral Department
  • Providing excellent communication and customer service related to external referrals

  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills

Assignment Duration: This position is currently assigned until further notice.

Conversion to Full-Time Employment: There is no possibility for conversion to a full-time role.
