Position Overview:
The role of the External Referral Coordinator involves managing and facilitating external referrals within a healthcare setting. This position is critical in ensuring smooth communication and processing of referrals to enhance patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing of external referrals to ensure timely and accurate handling.
- Support the workflows of the External Referral Department to optimize efficiency.
- Engage in effective communication regarding external referrals, emphasizing customer service excellence.
Work Environment:
- Office Location: Client Onsite.
- Dress Code: Business Casual.
- Parking: Available in a parking structure.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years in referral processing, medical billing, or claims management.
- Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with CPT codes is essential; knowledge of EPIC HealthConnect and Foundation systems is advantageous.
Skills Required:
- Data Entry and Analysis: Proficient in managing and analyzing data.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring accuracy in all tasks.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, Day Shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Additional Information:
- This position does not allow for remote work; candidates must be onsite.
- There is no possibility for conversion to a full-time employee.
- All candidates must be authorized to work in the designated country.
