Position Overview:

The role of the External Referral Coordinator involves managing and facilitating external referrals within a healthcare setting. This position is essential for ensuring smooth workflows and effective communication related to external referrals.

Office Location: Santa Ana Xerox Building

  • Travel Requirements: No travel required.
  • Remote Work Options: Client onsite.
  • Onsite Requirements: Workers must be vaccinated prior to starting. Parking is available in a parking structure, and the dress code is business casual.

Education Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience Requirements:

  • Ideal Experience: 1-2 years in referral processing, coordinating, coding, medical billing, or claims.

Technical Skills:

  • Required Knowledge: Familiarity with CPT codes.
  • Preferred Knowledge: Experience with EPIC HealthConnect (Tapestry) system and Foundation system.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, Day Shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Interview Process: Candidates may be interviewed onsite or virtually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing external referrals efficiently.
  • Supporting workflows within the external referral department.
  • Providing excellent communication and customer service related to external referrals.

Essential Skills:

  • Data entry and analysis.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Assignment Details:

  • This position is expected to last until a specified future date.
  • No possibility of conversion to full-time employment.
