Overview:
As a Logistics Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the logistics processes within our organization. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess potential risks associated with contract execution and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Maintain strong relationships with shipping and transportation companies to secure competitive rates and reliable services.
  • Monitor the progress of deliveries from ocean shipping vessels to final destinations, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Create and implement tools for tracking shipment statuses and reporting to management and clients.
  • Analyze logistical data to identify and resolve issues affecting the flow of goods.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to transportation and delivery performance.
  • Develop and share delivery status reports with clients to keep them informed.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within logistics operations.
  • Establish communication channels and regular meetings with carriers and internal teams to ensure alignment.
  • Perform additional reporting and tasks as required to support logistics operations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in route planning and optimization across various transport modes.
  • Ability to develop transport plans that enhance loading efficiency, reduce transit times, and lower logistics costs.
  • Experience in managing logistics processes, including warehouse operations and local transportation.
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including vlookup and pivot tables).
  • Strong prioritization skills to manage urgent issues while maintaining other responsibilities.
