Job Overview

ENTEK is on the lookout for motivated, detail-oriented, and technically skilled individuals for the position of Sales Engineer focused on Material Handling. This role entails the promotion and sale of specialized material handling equipment that ENTEK designs, fabricates, installs, commissions, and services. The successful candidate will primarily operate within the Southeastern Region of the United States.

To provide exceptional service to our current clientele and to leverage local networks, it is preferred that the candidate resides in one of the following states: Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, or Alabama.

The individual in this position will be tasked with comprehending the technical and commercial requirements of clients and effectively communicating these needs to ENTEK after assessing the viability of the opportunity. A key aspect of this role is driving new revenue growth by establishing connections with new material handling clients and enhancing relationships with existing ones. A profound understanding of customer support is essential, as is the ability to promptly address customer inquiries, gather relevant information, compile and disseminate data, and ensure customer satisfaction.

Success in this role will be achieved through strong relationship-building skills, lead generation capabilities, honest representation to clients, and embodying ENTEK's core values: Respect, Integrity, Commitment, and Innovation. Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, engage, and nurture new clients in the material handling sector (pneumatic conveying) by:
    • Leveraging technical expertise to propose cost-effective solutions and sell products, systems, and services.
    • Engaging with customer management to advocate for the advantages and practicality of ENTEK's offerings.
    • Collaborating with clients and production engineers to tailor products and services to meet specific needs.
    • Demonstrating the superiority of ENTEK's products and services compared to competitors.
    • Utilizing persuasive sales techniques to explain product features and benefits.
  • Work closely with existing clients to explore all areas where ENTEK can provide products and services, aiming to increase sales.
  • Coordinate with technical engineering teams to accurately assess customer needs.
  • Provide technical recommendations to clients regarding best maintenance practices for ENTEK equipment.
  • Adhere to established sales guidelines for quoting, order processing, and transaction closure.
  • Facilitate clear and accurate communication among customers, internal support teams, and ENTEK management.
  • Deliver presentations, participate in networking events, and attend trade shows.
  • Communicate effectively regarding issues and opportunities that arise in the field.
  • Identify industry trends and challenges, communicating insights to management.
  • Collaborate with customer service, sales, and engineering teams to resolve conflicts and address escalated issues.
  • Provide regular updates on the sales pipeline to the team.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives as needed.
Work Environment

This role requires a flexible schedule, influenced by travel, customer demands, and events.

Extensive travel is necessary to attend trade shows and conferences, as well as to maintain and develop relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

The ideal candidate must remain composed in high-pressure situations.

QualificationsMinimum Requirements
  • Three (3) years of experience in material handling (pneumatic conveying) or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, algebra).
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, think critically, and maintain focus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, along with proficiency in technology-driven tools.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in seeking resolutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of experience in manufacturing within the plastics, minerals, food, or other related industries.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft AX or similar software.
