Position: Technical Support Specialist

Contract Duration: 6-month contract with potential extensions

Location: Remote

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Windows operating system support and help desk assistance
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Proficiency in Office 365
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems, specifically ServiceNow

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using the ServiceNow ticketing platform
  • Background in Tier 1 and Tier 2 support
  • Relevant certifications

Daily Responsibilities:

Insight Global is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join a leading simulation software engineering firm. This role involves a mix of ticket management and user support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering Tier 1 and Tier 2 support to end users, both in-person and via remote assistance tools
  • Managing, creating, responding to, and resolving incidents and service requests while adhering to established processes and service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Providing end-user support
  • Following documented asset management procedures and maintaining accurate records in the configuration management database (CMDB)
  • Troubleshooting issues related to Microsoft Office applications, including O365 and MS Teams
  • Configuring and resolving basic issues associated with virtual machines, networks, and Windows file shares
  • Assisting with the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees
