Position Overview


The Junior Territory Sales Manager (JTSM) is an essential role at Cordis, pivotal for expanding our sales and product presence.

In this capacity, you will take direct responsibility for smaller sales territories while collaborating with and learning from seasoned Territory Managers overseeing larger regions.

The JTSM role reports to regional leadership and is designed to evolve into a Territory Manager position based on exemplary performance and the successful attainment of territory goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster relationships and increase case volume while enhancing sales with existing and prospective clients.
  • Meet overall and specific sales/revenue targets as designated.
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities within both established and new accounts (acute and non-acute).
  • Strategically target, forecast, and implement sales initiatives within your assigned territory.
  • Work autonomously, with guidance and mentorship from your partnering Territory Manager.
  • Analyze accounts based on clinical and economic factors to tailor your sales approach effectively.
  • Engage with clinical stakeholders, including Physicians, Nurses, Technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop relationships with economic stakeholders involved in purchasing and contracting decisions.
  • Conduct consultative sales meetings with Interventional Cardiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Neuro Interventionalists, and Vascular Surgeons, ensuring you can provide necessary lab and case support.
  • Create and deliver comprehensive, multi-product proposals and pricing recommendations.
  • Lead educational initiatives during account launches and routine maintenance visits.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and key clinical and economic stakeholders.
  • Follow up on leads generated from conferences and senior leadership engagements to drive successful outcomes.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts and principles to manage a diverse range of projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with Cordis sales and marketing leadership, cross-functional teams, and field-based colleagues.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in medical sales or 2+ years as a Clinical Specialist in the endovascular sector is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Must reside within the designated territory and be willing to travel as necessary to achieve objectives.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, determined, and goal-oriented.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.
  • U.S. work authorization is a prerequisite for employment.

This position is field-based, requiring daily interactions in hospitals, medical offices, and other healthcare facilities within the assigned territory. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends may be necessary based on business needs.
